The U-MATTER Campaign houses a 24 hour toll free hotline for individuals that are or have experienced bullying. The hotline also take calls from individuals that witness bullying.
We are encouraging everyone to go one to YouTube and make a U-MATTER video to tell the world why they matter or to tell someone else why they matter. You can make the video to a specific individual to let them know their life matters to you. We want to save lives and stop the lost of the ones we love.
For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
A bullying survey has been added to the web site. We are trying to generate some numbers for our U-MATTER CAMPAIGN. 1-855-U-MATTER

Equality by Camille Bennette
Treating people equally means that everyone has the same opportunity as every other person. It is important that you treat people as you wish to be treated. It is important that everyone gets a good education and safe place to learn. We must be kind to every person no matter of their color, shape or size.
Active support groups in Thousand Oaks, and Camarillo. Dates, times and Location can be found on the Events page. All are welcome. Parking is Free. LGBTQ N/A group is in the works and will be held in Newbury Park. Teen group is on its way and will be in Newbury Park.
One way to help end bullying against the LGBTQ community is to education individuals on the contributions the LGBTQ community has made to society.
Another way is peer mentoring.
We have now in place a 24 hour Hot-Line. Looking for a building where we can run the 24-hour Hot-Line staffed by trained individuals and where individuals can receive support and have a safe place to go is our goal by the end of the year. The last goal is to have implemented our peer mentoring workshop "Leaders-In-Training." This will help children learn to be leaders and to help others by advocating for them. The workshop comes with a student workbook. Individuals will receive a certificate for completing a 40 hours. Along with the no bullying pledge we are actively trying to contact legislation to have the California Education Code 35294.2 (2001) enforced or rewritten. So look for it, it's very important.
Plans by the end of 2012: We are looking for a building we can run a thrift store out of. This will bring in continues income so that we do not have to rely in government grants.
The Stepping Stone is a way to remind us daily of the disturbances that may occur every day, or the times in our past that caused upset and trauma. Maybe someone said something mean, or you were hurt physically; maybe on one even noticed or heard you. You will be able to put representations of these hurts in your stepping stone, then place it by your front door and everyday know you have stepped over these types of oppressions. The stepping stone will remind you that you are still here, you're alive and people do care about you! Knowing as you step off your stone, and into the world, you are on a new path to acceptance and a different way of looking at life.
We are here!!! There are others who care about you; every single one of you!!
Go to the Stepping Stone Page and create your own Stepping Stone
The media is the biggest supporter of bullying. Youth today is influence greatly by the media. Shows like "Jersey Shores" and even some cartoons portray bullying.
Recent statistics show that most Americans, 65%, believe that the anti-gay message that is being perpetuated by Religious leaders is playing a big part in gay teen suicide, and 72% believe that the negative message has, at the least something to do with this epidemic. These messages are lending to the climate of hate that is currently engulfing our country. Only religious leaders have currently gone on public record to say that bullying has no long lasting implications on individuals, and is part of our growing up experience. We have found a congregation that is supportive of all individuals and religious backgrounds. If you are not being accepted by your current congregation then you may want to try the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. God does not hate you, he is Love.
Some supporters are invisible until, they bring attention to themselves. Recently there has been attention brought to the customer service industry. We are not here to bash or bully any company. We will suggest researching a company and their values before investing in their values if they do not match yours.
The No Bullying Pledge can be filled out and sent to you for select students that support our cause.
The Leaders-In-Training workshop can be implemented in your school. We will have training seminars, so teachers can be trained to run the workshop. A Teachers Manual will go along with the student workbook.
Go to testimonial section to tell your story, coming out, fears, hatred, physical and verbal assaults you or a friend may have experienced, anything you want to say.
We are here for you!!!!!!
